Annual district convention to be held on Tuesday, March 28 at Milton Community Hall
The president of the National Farmers Union will be in P.E.I. for the group’s annual district convention later this month.
Jan Slomp, national NFU president, will be the keynote speaker for the convention on Tuesday, March 28 at Milton Community Hall on New Glasgow Road.
Other speakers will be confirmed later in the month, while the video “Islanders and the Land” will also be shown. The video, produced by Don Kossick, features Island farmers and shows their concern for the preservation of P.E.I. farmland.
The meeting will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a storm date of Thursday, March 30.
